Sardinia & Tofuna

Cooking sardines has never been easy. Well, CQ can't find the perfect or nice recipes to compliment sardines, besides epok-epok or samosas.

Finally, CQ got a beautiful sardines recipe from Queen Za. It is very easy and simple ~ and tasty too. It is called Sambal Sardinia.

Ingredients
1 small tin of sardines - discard the bones and fry, sauce put aside
1 tbsp sambal tumis
1tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp water

3 cloves garlic - chopped/sliced
1 big onion - sliced thinly (divide into 2 portions)
half tomato - quartered
salt to taste

How to cook ~
Heat up oil in frying pan and stir fry garlic and onion until fragrant. Add in the sardines sauce, sambal tumis, tomato sauce and water.

Fry a little while and then add the fried sardines, cut tomato and onion. Add salt to taste and cook well. serve hot with white rice and tofu soup ...yummmy!

To compliment sambal sardinia, CQ cooked a simple tofu soup. Prepare the following ingredients as shown in the picture below. Garlic, shallots, wedged tomatoes, tofu, Chinese celery and cabbage. Salt and pepper too.

Stir fry garlic and shallots till fragrant in a pot. Add a dash of pepper and stir well. Add one glass of water, tofu and Chinese cabbage. Bring to boil and then add salt to taste. Lastly, add the celery. Serve hot.

p.s. Notice the main ingredients? Though it is the same, yet the end product is totally different.
