Why do people blog? In the first place, do you know what is a blog? Whatever reasons an individual has, it is his/her rights to make whatever he/she wishes to do with his/her blog.
A blog is a hobby. It is like reading, writing, knitting, shopping, skateboarding, gardening or photography. Simpur Blogging Nation has quite a number of categories that readers can pick and choose to browse through or read them.
Take photography for instance. There about 106 photo journalists which CQ believes is more into photography. These are individuals with different outlooks and perspective in terms of photography. From these blogs, CQ learn some new techniques, do's and dont's in photography.
Another example is the personal category where there are almost 400 registered bloggers. Under this category, readers can read different types of writing. Some bloggers blog as journals or diaries. There are some good reference blogs. Besides one (especially students) can learn good English from few of the best blog-writers.
For blogs that have broken English or written bi-lingually, readers can follow their personal journey or records of everyday life or national happenings. You can never know that in some ways, you may be inspired or motivated by these bloggers. Do not ridicule or have hatred on their blogs.
When blogging should be in good faith, it should be inspirational to others too. Blogging is also a passion. Everyone has passion in their life. It is every individuals' rights. For as long as it does not take a toll on one's life, jeopardise one's career and relationship, students' do not neglect their studies or it does not risk anyone in what-so-ever ways it may be ...blogging is truly a hobby or a passion.
After all that have been said, every beginning will have an ending. Some may say quiting or on a long hiatus. Again, what-so-ever the reasons it may be, it is an individual's rights.
*sigh* As news must have spread like a rapid fire, CQ was saddened to know that Senor Pablo is leaving the blogging arena. CQ respects his decision. He had been an inspiration as a friend and fellow-blogger on the SBN. He showed the way to different levels and good communication between friends and families through his blog. He's a SBN Legend!
CQ wishes Senor Pablo and family a prosperous future. CQ may not see or hear Senor Pablo on the blogging arena anymore but hey! CQ will defintely see him and hear his jovial antics on any of the Bloggers' get-togethers, right?? yeahhh ... :))
Thank-you! merci! danke! gracias! terima-kasih! Senor Pablo ..for everything that you had inspired on the blogging arena!

How to punctuate correctly?
In an English class, an English professor wrote the words - 'A woman without her man is nothing' on the blackboard and asked his students to punctuate it correctly.
All the male students in the class wrote: 'A woman, without her man, is nothing'.
All the female students in the class wrote: 'A woman: without her, man is nothing'.
Punctuation can be powerful! huhu

Poetry Competition
Last Thursday, Kimchi was chosen by her Form Teacher to represent her class in the SMR's upcoming Poetry Competition.
As much as being talkative by nature, Kimchi has a natural flair for public speaking. I have always encouraged her to read good books so as to develop the proper usage of good English language (writing and speaking) and also to increase her library of vocabulary. Reading broadens the mind. Don't you know?
Kimchi's New Zealand-born English Language teacher - Sir Simon - as he is fondly called by his students, was overwhelmed and pleased with Kimchi's recent performance when she and a fellow classmate gave an impressive talk to all the Form 5 students on how to be well-prepared for the G.C.E. 'O' Levels Examinations - 2008.According to Kimchi, Sir Simon was speaking literally in a Shakespearean style when he approached Kimchi with the idea. Surprised and amused by her teacher's poetic act, Kimchi accepted with beaming eyes.
The finals will be on 14 June 2008 - wow! a day when auspicious happenings will take place huhu - and till then, Kimchi has to practise with her Shakespeare-inspired teacher - Sir Simon. Good Luck!
