Last Wednesday night, CQ welcomed a long term in-house guests - a fire blanket and one fire extinguisher. Finally, JKR had made the move to commissioned a private company to equip all Government quarters and houses with free sets of the above items.
Most probable reason to have these fire blanket and fire extinguisher is due to the fact that in the past year, we have seen or witnessed some of the worst fires in the country. Thumbs up for the effort.
Hopefully private home owners will also make the move to have these items in their homes. It is better to be safe now than be sorry later.

Mr. Croco moves in..
How cool is it to have Mr. Croco-dile to pay a visit to a neighbour's home? Or could it be its new home? huhu ...baru dapat kunci rumah di kawasan perumahan Sungai Belait kali aahhh.
Yup! this crocodile was seen in the Belait River ...according to a local source who emailed this picture to CQ. When was it, CQ has no idea ...but it is hoped that the people living around the said vicinity will be taking some precautions ..especially those with many young children. Do make headcounts! :)

Umrah update ..
Alhamdulillah ...CQ recieved news at 3.30pm local time today - that the Arab-Families Umrah Group had ziarah makam (tomb) Nabi Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam (pbuh) earlier today.
Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi (the Mosque of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. pbuh) in Madinah Al-Munawwarah, is the second holiest mosque in Islam.
Masjidil Al-Haram in Makkah Al-Mukarramah is the holiest mosque in Islam while the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem is the third.
CQ will update (not everyday ahhh) again soon ...

A full day
Today had been a very productive day for me ...and tiring too. As usual after lunch, I would have to clear and clean up my kitchen, besides doing other housekeeping chores :)
While washing up the dishes and my mind was grinding with lots of thinking activities, when my eyes stared in disgust ...almost popped out... upon seeing my 3-cylinder water filter ...ewwww... how could I not seen that it need to be changed hee..hee. It has only been ..what ...errr few months?
Look at that! So filthy and muddy ...yukkks! Then, I was thinking how safe or rather, is our tap water safe? Is it safe to drink straight away from the tap?? Well, judging from the sight of my water filter, I guess (on my personal view) it's not.
Anyway, Brunei water had not been kind to me, especially to my feet. I used to have smooth and soft skin on my soles ...but now my feet needs more attention with lotion. The skin on my feet had gone dry and cracked ..it can be so unsightly though if I forget to pamper my feet with lotion or foot cream.
That's why I prefer to have a month long holidays when I am in Singapore :) because my feet will be back to its old self...smooth and soft. As matter of fact, SG water is soft. As a consolation 'prize' hehehee ...I am glad that it's only my feet has to suffer :D
It was almost three o'clock in the late afternnon when I started to do my ironing. At the same time, I watched a movie called 'Gone baby Gone'. It has a very sounding storyline on human nature which is very intriguing, I must say. Ben Affleck made his directorial debut based on the novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane. I would suggest 'PG' and your own discretion when viewing with young children, because there are excessive use of the 'F' language. The movie was rated 'R' .
Here's the synopsis of the movie ...with a good ending.
"Patrick Kenzie (Casey Affleck) and Angie Gennaro (Michelle Monaghan) work together as private investigators and are hired to find a 4-year-old girl who went missing from the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. The media spotlight on the case burns brightly, and the pair are forced to team up with a detective (Ed Harris) and the chief of police (Morgan Freeman) to help solve it quickly. But as the clues start mounting and Patrick and Angie get involved with drug dealers and child abusers, it quickly begins to appear that there's a lot more at stake here than just one missing little girl."
What's more disturbing is that it is happening in real life...in a so called civilised society. And the thought of the two little girls from the neighbouring country, who went missing last year ...One was found dead (she was said to be brutally murdered) and the second girl is still missing. These young girls are just among thousands of other children worldwide that had been missing or vanished without any trace or leads.
How could one be so cruel as to commit this beastly and inhumane act especially to young children?
Well...I rest my case ..it's too painful to talk about it :(
