Mee curry beraya

NoorW: eh.. you balik tak?

Ciliqueen: no lah ...you?

NoorW: tak lah ...eh, i nak kasi you popia goreng i buat sendiri hee hee ...

An almost-the-same-old conversation between NoorW and CQ when it's approaching Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Both of us had made homes thousand of miles away from the shores of our hometown many many years ago. And seeing our students who have t fly back to their respective overseas destinations for the next semester, CQ does know how it is like to celebrate Aidilfitri away from families and loved ones.

But with modern technology in communcitaions like the cyberbnet, telephones, digital world and many other facilities (which CQ is not so well-versed hehehe), one can communicate just like talking or conversing in person. So the 'absence' is not so obviously felt.

Meanwhile ...on the way back home yesterday evening with Bigboss, CQ was quite stunt-ed when Bigboss requested 'mee curry' for sungkai ...??? huh? mee curry? how lehh?? hehehe...

Well, it was only last week when CQ and the gang had mee curry at the Sams' casa impian =) so CQ guessed that mee curry of Mrs. Sam must have hit Bigboss with a bang bang ...lols.

So here we go ...CQ's first mee curry ever ....

Ingredients:
1 kg of chicken parts - cut into bite sizes
2 packets of noodles (your choice of brand) - cook and rinse well
5 boiled eggs - cut into halves
5 hard tofu - fry, cut into two and sliced thinly
6 kalamansi - cut into two and seeded
50 cents of taugeh (beansprouts) - blanched
3 green chillies - sliced (for more spicy, used pounded bird''s eye chillies)
bawang goreng (fried shallots)
spices = kayu manis, cengkeh, pelaga and satr anise
2 stalks of curry leaves
1 packet of chicken curry paste - mix well with 2 tbsp of water
1 tsp of asam jawa (tamarind paste)
1 cube of chicken stock, salt to taste
5oo ml of water

2 large onions
5 cloves of garlic
1 inch ginger
~ blend all the above 3 and put aside

This is how you cook ~
Heat up oil in pot. Fry in the spices and curry leaves till fragrant. Add the blended onion, garlic and ginger and fry well for 10 minutes. Then add the curry paste and asam jawa.

Fry for another 10 minutes. Add the chicken parts, chicken stock and water and cook well. Season to taste.

Place the noodles and all the condiments in a wide bowl and pour the chicken curry moderately. This mee curry is not like soto ayam, so do not soak the noodles like in a soup ... huhu. It is nicer when you eat with cili padi ...more spicy, the better =) *drools*

Happy try try it out ...

Let's stray away a little bit here ...every individual has its own blood type ..either 'O', 'AB', 'A' or 'B'. Therefore, each blood type has its own characteristics and uniqueness.

Now, let's look at the comical side of blood type 'B'.

Start each day with a Smile!
