I got a surprise when I wanted to eat 'tElur mata lembu' a.k.a. cow's eye ..lols. Upon breaking an egg ..wooo two egg yolks greeted me, unfortunately one yolk broke ..I guessed it was shocked to see me :D ....or could it be the extra yolk is just like me, a second twin :p and loud that it burst-ed laughing hehehe ...oppsss I am trying not to be superstitious huhu, so I carried on with frying the egg with a dash of black pepper ..then I wrapped it with two slices of warm bread, a blanket of cheese and two slices of tomatoes ..and the rest is history :) *chomp chomp chomp*

talur = egg
I have heard that some people, when they are mad or joke with their pals, they would throw words like "ehhh talur banar .." or "jangan jadi talur baahh.."
To my understanding that I have found out, when the word 'talur' is used, it means to describe your stupidty or what so-ever relates to that.
'Talur' is actually from the word 'telur' which in English means egg; but as most locals would pronounce words that have 'e' and switching to using 'a' ...so that's where 'talur' comes in :D
What puzzles me is that why 'talur' is used to describe one's stupidity? 'Talur' or egg is one of the most versatile ingredient in the food and cooking world. Eggs have the most excellent source of protein which is good. In the food time-line, eggs have also been the object of socio-religious symbolism and traditions.
Where or how does this stupidity thinging has a connection with eggs and be used to describe man's stupidity? It's unthinkable. Eggs vary in sizes. Does one's stupidity is measured by an egg's size ..such as quail's egg or an ostrich's egg?
You think lahh for yourself hihihi, I rest my case ...but don't taluring2 ahh ..huh???
