My chocolate addiction

Lately someone asked me - Are you addicted to chocolates? Yes, I am! lols I must have (at least) a bite or two of chocolates everyday. When you combine chocolates ( especially dark ones) with roasted almonds or hazelnuts, the aroma is so intense that you will not be able to stop...lols. I had just bought a few big bars of Cadbury chocolates this evening...

I enjoy them after dinner or any other occassions, with hot coffee or cappucino latte ..and woooh you go kaboom! In fact, coffee and chocolate (in a short time) will make people become more alert and energised; but still relaxed, almost euphoric. Chocolate and coffee really do have a complimentary effect. Never deprive yourself the joyment of eating chocolates. It can be either in cake form, bars or even ice cream.

There are myths that say you may end up with pimples or acne (same as in the nuts), or make you put on weight or as if they needed another lame excuse not to eat chocolates. These people are missing the world ...lols.

Do you know that chocolate is known to be associated with romance?? huhu ...It's reptutation as an aphrodisiac originated thousands of years ago. In history, it was thought to have both mystical and aphrodisiac qualities during the Mayan and Aztec periods.

Chocolates may not be a significant health food to some people, but infact chocolates do deliver some health benefits too. For instance, chocolates are energy booster...lols. Chocolate or specifically cacao has nutritional benefits that can and probably should be enjoyed as a part of a healthy lifestyle. The challenge is to know what and how much to eat. Cacao can have a positive affect on most aspects of your life, from your cardiovascular system to your mood swings. Cacao can improve blood flow and insulin metabolism. Cacao also acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory, aiding in recovery from stress and exercise.

However, in the process of making chocolates, everything that is done to improve the flavor of a finished chocolate reduces the levels of antioxidants. So it may affects individuals differently.
