Beware

And so we have heard about our families, friends and other people who had experienced car theft or car-jacking or being robbed when they were in the neighbouring countries. People have been warned to be more careful, alert and attentive to any unfamiliar surrounding.

Just to share with you, readers, that there is a new tactic that may be used or being used by these potential robbers to stop you while driving ...either to rob, slash or hurt you in any ways they can think of.

An unfortunate incident happened to a couple last December. They were driving along the highway after attending a dinner function around 11pm. Suddenly a motorbike overtook them and the pillion rider threw two eggs onto their car's windscreen. In his reflex action, he turned on his windscreen wiper and the whole screen surface became very blur. Immediately he slowed down his car and stopped along the emergency lane. The man got out of his car and was trying to wipe clean the windscreen while his wife is seated inside the car.

All of a sudden a Proton Saga stopped behind their car and three guys came running towards him with Samurai swords and screaming at him to surrender his car and wallet. Fortunately the man, who is attached to the Police Division managed to pull his gun out and fired two warning shots into the air. That shocked the three guys. They immediately ran back to their car and drove off at high speed. The man then called the Police and found out that the robbers-to-be had used false plate number.

Apparently, this tactic has been used very often in the latest strings of road side robberies to those drivers driving alone or with small children or elderly passengers. If you ever encounter such a situation, be sure:

1. Not to 'on' your wiper.
2. Continue driving to the nearest Police Station, petrol station or shops
3. OR another nearby bright place with crowds to attract attention.
4. Lock your doors if you are alone.

Please spread or share this info...You could save lives.
