Sail away

Oh my, it has been quite a while that CQ posted any stories or some interesting topics for you readers out there to follow up.

Well, CQ was overwhelmed with what has been happening in the past weeks (busy facebooking.. lol). One of them was when CQ's little baby girl is no more a baby girl *sniffs sniffs*. Kimchi has just turned seventeen... yeah sweet seventeen! in early August. How time flew without you realizing that your little tots have blossomed into beautiful young adults.

Anyway, CQ would like to share a new awesome activity in Brunei. Sailing. You may have cruised along the Brunei River, but sailing out on the seas of Brunei Coast, just miles off the Serasa Ferry Terminal will blew your mind off from your nonstop-busy-city lifestyle.

This sailing yacht is one and only of its kind in the world. Made of three different wood - Norwegian pine, oak and teak, SV Petima is 25 years old. Born in Denmark, she has sailed through most of the Earth's seas and oceans.

Winning a $50 sailing voucher, sponsored by Dream Charter, CQ set sailed with Bigboss and few other couples last Late July.

Sailing in Brunei is relatively new. Besides day sailing, there are other cruises available - honeymoon cruise, family trip out to the sea, fine dining or even holding a short business meeting on board the yacht to create a different atmosphere for your business clienteles. For more details, go to their website.

The sailing yacht is well equipped with the basic and essential household amenities and facilities.

It is solar-powered. Yes! the yacht has an engine too :)

Schumi gets her own mural!

Lucky Schumi! Fancy seeing a parrot gets her own mural? And it's on one part of a wall in her owner's home corridor? issshhhh ...

Faz is the owner, who has a passion for Art and had drawn Schumi's mural, hmmm notice anything unique about the bird?? Mural is missing the crown??

Yup! Schumi is still growing her feathers ...after another parrot 'mauled' her by 'cabut-ting' (plucking) her feathers. Hmmm fortunately, there's no playpet mag yeah ....Schumi would have made millions posing feather-less ..lols.

Anywayhoohoo ...Schumi is quite defensive when CQ comes for a visit because CQ likes to bully her hehehe ...

meanwhile.....

This seagull - pictured by a friend who works as a Ships's Medical Officer & Safety Assessor - was seen taking a 'lift' on the port-side of a vessel in the wide open North Sea.

It must had been too tired of flying ..welcome on board birdie :))

Sunset in North Sea

CQ's friend - Atwood Falcon, who works in the offshore oil and gas industry, took this beautiful and breathtaking sunset in the North Sea.

Where is North Sea?
According to Wiki - ' The North Sea is a marginal, epeiric sea of the Atlantic Ocean on the European continental shelf. It is more than 600 miles (970 km) long and 350 miles (560 km) wide, with an area of around 222,000 square miles (570,000 km2).

A large part of the European drainage basin empties into the North Sea including water from the Baltic Sea. The North Sea connects with the rest of the Atlantic through the Dover Strait and the English Channel in the south and through the Norwegian Sea in the north...'

This is how it looks like under the sea in the offshore oil and gas field

In the oil industry, "North Sea" often refers to a larger geographical set, including areas such as the Norwegian Sea and the UK "Atlantic Margin" (west of Shetland) not, strictly speaking, part of the North Sea. WOW!!!
