CQ's second leg (466km) of the approximate total of 886km long drive up to Kuching - from Sibu, took about seven hours plus stops at a petrol kiosk and resting for lunch in Pekan Serian. There are more than just having fun adventure and experience driving on a long journey. You have to plan ahead and not only be physically fit but mentally too. Ensure that there is another family member who can drive so that the chief driver can take some cat naps after few hundreds kilometres of non-stop driving.
While driving and concentrating on the roads ahead, you can also enjoy the scenic views and many if not all, the kind of life that lies within this region filled with beautiful and luscious greenery.
In fact, Kuching boasts quite a number of National Parks - Tanjung Datu National Park, Batang Ai National Park and Wildlife Centres - Semenggok Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and Matang Wildlife Centre.Occasional sights of terraced of sireh (betel) leaves creeping on stumped trees or poles, thick hilly virgin forests and jungles, palm trees plantations and mills, logging mills, shrubs, old huts standing tall on padi fields, schools, kampongs and different types of longhouses can be seen on either sides of the roads.
Be sure to put together an emergency kit in your car that will save you any grief if you ever got stranded or encounter problems (God forbid) on the road. The kit could include - flashlights with working batteries, jumper cables, duct tape, a container for petrol (optional), car jack and spare tyre. It would be a plus if you have a mechanic's head too.
Can you imagine this long trailer is overtaking vehicles that are supposed to be 'faster' than the trailer itself? It is so common tho'.
When driving on the long roads that seems to have no ends - do be careful as there could be road works ahead and when overtaking heavy vehicles - especially if you are driving at night as hazards may be out of your headlight range. If it rains, reduce speed. Ensure that your front and back wipers work properly. Use the light from oncoming vehicles ahead to gain clues on road curves and bends. Watch for road signs and white lines for further guidance.
Besides, you and your co-driver must be sharp- minded - making sure your brain cells are activated to think fast and be alert at all times, sharp eyes to navigate, read maps and road signs. To add fun and joy-ment to the long journey, bring along good music cee-dees.
If you have small children, do pack some travel essentials like a foodie bag of non-perishables - cereal, biscuits, packets of juices and other lights snacks to ward off hunger pangs. Do not forget (bottled) water and a bag of toys - PSP or games, books and gadgets to kill any boredom or distraction in the children. A set of medicine essentials - liquid paracetamol for fevers, wet wipes, lozenges and anti-bacterial sanitiser - can be handy too in any less extreme circumstances.
Do dress light and comfortably - with proper footwear. CQ and family did enjoy our long drive trip to Kuching. Planning soon for a drive up to Labuan =) ?? Let's think how yeah!

Mommy says ...
.. be smart! When you are tending to your everyday-never-ending house chores, it can take most of your time and you end up with little or no quality time for yourself!
With young toddlers or children to care and attend too, you will have to make extra efforts in keeping minimal mess around the house huhu .. thus CQ wants to share a few tips hehee .. err especially for mommies without helpers =)
Easy meal times
Young children are bound to make a mess during meal times. Once they finish their meals, bits of rice or food will be scattered on the floor with-in one-metre radius from where the child has been eating. So, why not spread the floor with old newspapers? Then all you have to do after your child had his/her meal is gather up and throw the papers away, without you getting down on your knees to wipe up the mess!
Glass act
Cleaning up broken glasses can be so malas (lazy) ehh. Usually you will slip on rubber gloves and pick up the big shards, right? Then wet a few paper towels and wipe across the floor to catch splinters. Oppps! No paper towels?? Then try using moistened bread! huhu ...
Clutter control
Sometimes you don't have the time to even clean your living room. Thus, TV advertisement breaks will help you to complete the task in small doses. An hour-long drama usually has three to four breaks, so you can pick up your children's toys or the newspaper and magazines back to where they belong; wipe surfaces with a damp cloth or pick up bits of rubbish that had fallen on the carpet. By the time the show is over, you may already be vacuuming the floor!
... and when the children are having their daytime nap, you can enjoy updating your blog huhu ..

White scented rice
A friend once told CQ that there are times when she cooks rice, it tends to be a little brownish or smells kind of foul.
Unfortunately, you wouldn't want to throw away the balance uncook rice, would you? No.
To overcome this problem, while cooking rice, add half to one teaspoon of lime juice to a portion of one tin of rice. It helps to whiten the rice. Meanwhile, to get a nice scented rice, add a pandan leaf that has been knotted when cooking your rice.
It is really satisfying as you get both whiter and scented cooked rice.

Bling-bling your tootsies
So you did not listen to what an expert say on how to buy a good pair of shoes! hehehe ..CQ is no expert maahh but CQ would like to share some tips (macam betul aje).
When buying shoes, make sure there's half an inch space at the end of the shoe. Your toes should be able to wriggle freely in the shoe. Of course most women would love to wear killer heels to match with the outfits. Where got class when wearing baju kurung with tonnes of bling-blings or katok with flatties ..right?
Anyway, if you need to wear heels all day, do make sure to find time to let or allow your feet to breathe every other hour and do keep a a pair of flip flops handy to wear ...during breaks.
But hey! what's that stinking smell ehh? Waaah whose feet smell so like want to puke? Yup, after hours of wearing heels, your feet tend to 'smell smell' ...CQ does not know why smell but CQ has a ten-cents-worth tip to share hee hee ...
Try soaking your feet with tea. Yes, the tea that you always drink ..err but minus sugar and milk, OK!. Blend tea bags or sachets with warm water in a pail and soak your feet for at least an hour. It is said that tea can absorb the toxic or whatever that cause your feet to smell. CQ did try a couple of times ...and no more smelly feet huhu.
Besides, you can try a simple vitamin-enrichd exfoliant for your tootsies. Take time to pamper your feet with a strawberry foot scrub. This is also good for those with dry and cracked feet.
You need about eight strawberries, lightly mashed. Combine with 3 tablespoons of kosher salt and 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a small bowl. Massage mixture into feet, scrub well, rinse and dry off. But do take note that overblending may leave you with a runny and watery scrub. hmmm CQ haas yet to try it out ...and please, do rest your feet well. Do not over-work those foot muscle lahh ....
Woww... now you can smell strawberry-powered-scrub delish tootsies everywhere hehehe ....

Pink shawl in a paper-bag
Comparing and looking at fashion sense this coming raya will be a must -see-and-talk-about thinging among die-hard-fashionistas.
Fashion gurus say little is more. Dressing up may need a little drive and motivation from your inner sense of style. Working out with your proportions will help to disguise the-not-so-good parts of yourself. It's kind of revelation for your beauty-taste of fashion.
Great shoes and handbags will alwyas uplift an outfit. Some women will tend to really stock-up themselves with accessories that are out-of-places. This is a common mistake in the fashion world. Minimal touch will definitely compliments even the not-so-nice baju (dress). To dress for yourself rather than religiously following the trends, will make you look more confident and feels good about yourself. Investing in great accessories will make a simple outfit look stunning and slick. Mix-match of accessories will also make a dull outfit look expensive.
Sometimes it takes the colour and attitude in the clothes we wear to make a shout-out statement about the fashion sense in ourselves. Simple yet elegant is the key to fail-safe outfit that will always make one feel so good.
CQ is no fashion addict nor a fashion guru OK! hehehe ...but it will definitely a challenge ehh to look super goddess-like stunning in a very simple-down-to-earth outfit ..huhu =)
So CQ will click click away to catch those best dressed mademoiselles for this festive season.

Good advice
Here's one good advice that CQ would like to share. It is a short information CQ got from an anonymous fan huhu ..yet it is useful in our daily life.
Since the festives season is just around the corner, this advice comes so handy and at the right time. Upon starting your car engine, air out your car before turning on the aircon. Open the windows after you enter your car.
According to research done by a U.C. , the car dashboard, sofa, air freshener will emit Benzene, a cancer causing toxin (carcinogen). In addition to causing cancer, it will poison your bones, causes anemia and reduces white blood cells. Prolonged exposure will cause leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer. It may also cause miscarriage and other health effects.
Acceptable Benezene level for indoors is 50 mg per sq. ft. A car parked indoors with all the windows closed will contain between 400-800 mg of Benezene. If the car is parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benezene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, that is 40 times the acceptable level. The people inside the car will inevitably inhale an excess amount of the toxin.
It is recommended that you open the windows and door of your car to give time for the interior to air out before you enter. Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver, and is difficult for your body to expel.
p.s ~ some portions of the article have been edited by CQ due to its unforgiving grammar =)

Winning over
At SOME point you will work for a boss who doesn't like you. You will probably won't be able to turn him or her into your best friend, but you don't need to! Trust CQ. CQ has been there hehe ...
All that is necessary is that he or she feels comfortable around you and respects your work. Here are a few ways that CQ wants to share with you =) ..to make that happen.
- Identify the task or projects that matter most to your boss and be extraordinarily productive in those areas. It will also helps you to master or be specialised in areas not liken much by others.
- Help him or her to overcome work related crisis. Your intergrity will somehow gives you the boost to motivate you to help your boss.
- Observe the work habits and style of his or her favoured subordinates. Do they have a casual approach? Or are they likely to communicate by memo? Follow their lead. Never ampu-ampu ok hehehe ..you will enter danger zone.
- Analyse why you have been behaving differently. Are you unconsciously replicating an unhealthy relationship you may have had in the past? Does your supervisor remind you of another authority figure with whom you didn't get along?
- Ask colleagues whom you can trust to share their insights with you. Listen with an OPEN mind.
- If your boss continues to rebuff you, arrange a friendly meeting with him or her. Tell him or her that you sense tension and want to resolve it. Do not argue or blow your top off. Ask him or her in what ways you are not meeting his or her expectations. Hopefully your boss is the impartial type =)
- Keep in mind that you can't change your boss. But you can change your interactions with him or her.
A well balanced communications and work relationship will lead to a more positive and productive output. Good luck!

Worth trying ...
Okay..here's one therapy CQ would like to share. It's the Breathing Therapy hehehe ...
The nose has a left and a right side - we use both to inhale and exhale. Actually they are different and you would be able to feel the difference. The right side represents the sun while the left side represents the moon.
If at anytime you have a headache, try closing your right nose and use your left nose to breathe. In about 5 mins, your headache will be gone... hmmm. If you feel tired, just reverse your action, that is to close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your mind is re-freshed. It also helps when you are feeling restless... CQ has yet to try though :))
The right side belongs to the 'hot' therefore it gets heated up easily. The left side belongs to the 'cold'. Most females breathe with their left noses ..huh? ..so they get "cooled off" faster ..huhu
Most of the guys breathe with their right noses and they get worked up ...hehe true ahh??
This can be taught to kids but it is more effective when practised by adults. This alternative natural therapy without medication is something worth trying ...but don't try closing both nostrils yeah ...CQ is NOT liable for any injuries huhuhu :)

Vegetables are versatile!
Did you know that keeping your vegetables wrapped up in newspapers can last for a period of time? This has been the common practice by people in the olden days. CQ wonders how did they come up with that idea ...yeah? A way to recycle the papers? naaahh ...anyway it still does exist today!
However, this method of keeping your greens or vegetables can be very harmful to your health as toxic or chemical substances from the newspaper can be absorbed by the greens.
There are better ways on how to keep your vegetables fresh and delicious. It is important that you buy the freshest ones and store them properly. There are two main reasons why vegetables go bad - either they are bought past their prime or they are sitting shivering cold in your refrigerator too long.
Here are some tips that CQ had tried and it is easy to follow.
When you are selecting your vegetables, do peek-a-boo at them to make sure the leaves are not browning or wilting. Buy whole heads of lettuce like romaine that will tend to stay fresh longer than loose-leaf greens or pre-washed bagged lettuce. The leaves should be crisp and evenly colored ..not yellowish around the edges.
Store your vegetables or greens in perforated bags that allow air and moisture to circulate. Vegetables do breathe ok! It is the lack of air that accelerates decay. You can also make your own bag - take a resealable plastic bag and make multiple stabs with a small knife or prick with a fork. Finally, make sure to eat your vegetables within a few days. Otherwise, they will start to perish.
If you have any leftovers of salad leaves or green vege, wrap them in paper towels (kitchen roll)and put them into a perforated bag. Or toss them for a simple side salad dish - saute them in olive-oil or steam them and add your favourite dressings or herbs and enjoy!

Reduce Salt
How to reduce salt in your daily diet? Here are nine tips that can followed ..
- When buying vegetables that are fresh, frozen or canned "with no salt added."
- Use fresh poultry, fish, and lean meat rather than canned or processed types.
- Use herbs, spices and salt-free seasoning blends in cooking and at the table.
- Cook rice, pasta and hot cereals without salt. Cut back on instant or flavored rice, pasta, and cereal mixes ...hmmm even indo-mie goreng ehh :)
- Choose convenience foods that are lower in sodium. Cut back on frozen dinners, packaged mixes, canned soups or broths and salad dressings. Well, CQ thinks that having these types of food occasionally should be alright ..yeah :)
- Rinse canned foods, such as tuna to remove some sodium ..hmmm CQ doubt anyone will follow this tip ..huhu
- Buy low-sodium or reduced-sodium or no-salt-added versions of foods. CQ knows some of you will go eeewwww lols
- Choose breakfast cereals that are lower in sodium.
- Snack on fruits and vegetables instead of chips. It is best to encourage young children to eat healthy snacks to maintain a good eating habit ..yeah? hmm
It is best to live a hyperactive and healthy life than living with hypertension the rest of your life!

Recycled food?
Well, CQ would term it as an engineered food or short-cuts - it's CQ's expertise in CQ's very own humble kitchen huhu. Anyway, it is more like you turn your last night's leftover food into something creative.
Here's an example. You have a plate of shredded prata or some called it murtabak. What would you do with it?
Another instance is the bread that the locals like to 'cecah' (dip) with satay's gravy. Then, what happen to this bowl of leftover bread?
Some would feed the birds ...and maybe some will send to the bin ehh - so before you throw food away, always have some thoughts of how people especially children in the third world countries are starving, malnourished and in order to live they will have to look for food in rubbish bins or dumping grounds.. if there are any!
With these two leftover food, CQ turned them into CQ's very own 'Norbi' dish ...yup! the same 'Norbi' that you can find in the menu list of C.A.M. Restaurant. Don't believe? Go check it out!
CQ does not know what 'Norbi' means but looking at the dish itself, it is more like fried prata huhu ...power of simplicity out of imagination! huh?
Ingredients
1 onion- chopped
3 garlic cloves -chopped
1 tomato - chopped
2tsps - chilli powder
2 limau kasturi - take the juice
1 tbsp of sweet black sauce
2 tbsps of chilli chicken rice - this gives the spicy tangy taste
3 eggs
2 tbsps of oil and salt to taste
Here's how you cook ...just like how CQ cooked this! The ingredients are almost 90% the same but the taste is so different. You can be more creative by adding roasted potatoes, leftover chickens pieces, seafood like crab, squid or anything that's edible of course huhu.
Try it before you comment ok! LOLS ..

Home remedy
Sometimes, we are unaware that the simplest form of common ailment can be cured in our very own home - err kitchen to be exact.
Mentrual cramps a.k.a. PMS has been affecting millions of women if not all ...but an effective solution seems a little far away. This painful condition will keep most women from work or any activities and they suffer silently; some are so severe that they can sream endlessly!
Here are some home remedies that have been shared by a friend of CQ's. Hopefully it will do some wonders and cures. Any severe cases of menstrual cramps are best treated by a qualified doctor.
Please try them at least once before discarding them as unworkable. These remedies have been found to be very effective in many women. Well, CQ has not tried any yet ...
#1
One easy and quick fix which every one can try for abdominal cramps is to add 5 grams (one teaspoon) of asafoetida powder to 200 ml of warm water (not hot) and drink twice within a lapse of 30 minutes. This herb has the ability to fix cramps in the abdominal and stomach area and gives partial to total relief in many cases. This home remedy is effective, natural and safe so try it next time.
#2
This is one effective way that involves garlic peels. Garlic has been known to have many beneficial properties. It also can help in alleviating pain and cramps relating to menstrual problems. Peel four to five pieces of garlic and fry them in clarified butter - sounds yummy right? Let them cool and then sprinkle a little bit of sugar on them. Swallow a couple of pieces and wait for 15 minutes to find relief. For more effective relief, swallow another few pieces after a couple of hours.
#3
Another quick fix is to apply heat to the abdomen area for partial relief. You can use a hot water bottle and wrap it in a towel. Apply directly to the affected area for relief.
#4
One cooked banana flower and eaten with curd is a good cure for excessive bleeding during menstruation. This also provides relief from abdominal cramps in certain specific cases so it is worth a try.

Smooth your feet
Ok ladies! or maybe even a few men who are just as vain - have you ever been so embarrassed by your ugly duckling feet? You know the ones that have the jagged-edges-look alike? Unable to put on sexy and beautiful heels without showing the rough-skinned feet may be so distressful for some ladies in particular.
To have feet with that ever porcelain smooth and soft skin, we will have monthly trips to the feet salon for pedicure or even the now-in-thing - fish therapy! For those who are so lazy, will resort to using the old-fashion way - rubbing with pumice stone.
Now, there's another DIY to slough your heels and make them as smooth as silk huhu. It is the lemon sugar scrub.
Mix 1/2 cup of brown sugar with 1/8 cup of olive oil and add a few squirts of a lemon. Lemon has antiseptic benefits to make your tootsies feel extra fresh. Scrub generously. Post exfoliating - dip your feet in a big bowl of cold milk. The lactic acid is great for softening and you finish it by slathering on a thick hydrating foot cream. Rest those feet well ..
Ohhh beware of foot-loosing ..huhu!

Seed that cures ..
Black cumin seed is said to be one of the most revered medicinal seeds in history. Besides being widely used in cooking - usually curries and Mediterranean cuisine, cumin seed has also other beneficial effects for curing ailments.
CQ's friend -NG, who is a Mechanical Engineer by profession; yet has a knowledge in ancient remedies using natural herbs and resources that are far beyond CQ can imagine. Here is something about cumin that CQ would like to share ...
~ Black Cumin - a cure for all. Daily intake of 25 gms a day - (is enough - do not exceed) with some pure honey especially in the morning ...it is the best to start your day! The black seed or Black Cumin is also known as "the seed of blessing."
This black seed contains the cure to any ailment, by God's will with the exception of death. Among the ailments are flu, eye diseases, ear problems, heart problems, toothaches and many more like aiding digestion, relieve gases in the stomach and intestines. ~
Could you imagine yourself taking a teaspoon of honey mixed with a dash of cumin powder? eewwww it could be a nightmare! lols ...well like some people say (CQ doesn't know which set of people though) if you swallow something bitter, it is for your own good ...yeah right! Anyway, there is no harm in trying.
There is a famous saying that the beauty of black cumin is their capacity to restore harmony. Oh well it could mean the harmony in human body (:

When you deleted a mail ..
On some everything-goes-wrong days, when you least expected your bossy Boss comes into your office and asked you for a 'suddenly-turned-important' mail that he/she had mailed to you just a few days ago (for all you know, your boss has also deleted that mail ...maybe toooo embarrass to say it huhu).
And you GASPED with shocking look on your face! Your brain raced through your matrix mind and the thought of the already-deleted mail may cause you - your precious job ..
So how do you retrieve a permanently deleted mail in Outlook? Here is a way that CQ wants to share and for the records, CQ had tried it only to say that there's nothing for CQ to retrieve hehehe ...maybe you want to keep for emergency cases huhu ...
1. Go to Run by clicking on Start and type in regedit.
2. Now go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, expand Software.
3. You will find Microsoft there. Expand Microsoft.
4. Expand exchange and then client.
5. You will find Options there. Right click on Options, choose New and click on D Word Value.
6. Now right click the new Dword Value and rename it to DumpsterAlwaysOn. Note: This is case sensitive.
7. Right click on the DumpsterAlwaysOn and modify the Value data to 1 and click on OK. When you type 1, this means the Recovery deleted Item is on. Also 0 to turn it off.8. Now open Outlook and click on Tools.
9. Choose 'Recovery Deleted Items'.
10. Good Luck!!

What do you do when ..
...your expensive mobile phone or iPod or even iPhone gets wet in the rain or drops in the wash basin? What is your next step? Cry? or buy a new one?
Such accidents are uncommon and most warranty does not cover water damage. So what will you do to revive that 'drowned' gadget? The answer is in your very own kitchen.
This was shared with CQ and now CQ will share with you readers - you may need it some day hehehe
Power off the device if it's not off yet and completely cover the mobile phone or iPod in a bowl of rice. Rice being a natural dessicant will help absorb the excess moisture. Let it covered for at least 24 hours and Do Not try to charge the device.
If your gadget has a removable battery, dry it separately to speed up the drying process.
This home remedy is cheap and worth giving it a try before you rush to the store to get a replacement. It may save you those $$$.
Some people have managed to fixed their wet phone after letting their devices soaked overnight in a bowl of uncooked rice.
hmmm anyway CQ will try to prevent rather than cure the phone ...but you can never know when accidents will strike! huhu ..

fried noodles mamak-less
Whenever Kimchi has a-last-minute get-together-with-friends or surprise birthdays function at school, she will always have her make-believe-spot-light eyes plus her wide smile asking 'mama, can you buy chicken for us at supa-save?'
As usual, her freaking mama will do some mental calculations ..
> 1 whole roasted chicken costs $5.90 = cut into 10 pcs
> 1 class has about 40 students = 4 whole chickens X 10 pcs = 40 pcs = $23.60
> if 40 students/functions X B$23.60 = $944.00 per year!!! CQ can go bankrupt ehhh ..
Do you think it's enough for a teenager to eat a piece of chicken plus other tidbits? hmmm
So Kimchi's mama decided to fry noodles the Lion City style ..
> yellow mee@ per pkt (for 5 students) costs $0.90 X 8 pkts = B$5.60
> sawi aka chye sim (is it hehe) per pkt $1.00 X 3 pkts = $3.00
> big onion/garlic/calamansi/chili powder/eggs = $5.00
> 1 small bottle of sweet black sauce = $1.20
> 2 large bottles of tomato sauce = $2.40
> Grand Total = $17.20 X 40 functions = $688.00 per year and each student gets to enjoy a plate of fried noodles and of course CQ saves $256.00!! Alamak! cooking oil not added yet? errr ..never mind lahh - sedekah (charity) hihihi
Well, if you are a parent and still has school-going children, everything counts when comes to $$$ ..right? So every parent must think smart. It is NOT about stingy but economy before you become eco-no-money hehehe...
Anyway, CQ will share with all CQ's readers how to fry noodles mamak-less hahaha...read on!
Ingredients:
2 pkts of yellow noodles
1 pkt sawi - cut and washed
2 medium size onions - chopped
5 cloves garlic - chopped
2 tsps chilli powder
4 eggs
8 calamansi - cut into halves and seeded
4 tbsps sweet black sauce
1 bottle of tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
How you fry:
Heat enough oil in large frying pan. Stir fry the onions and garlic till fragrant. Add in the chilli powder and fry for few seconds before add salt. Then add eggs and fry well.
Two minutes later, put in yellow noodles and sawi. Fry well before add in the sauces. Make sure fry well enough on slow fire; then you squeeze the calamansi juice. Fry well and serve.
Tip:
If you want to have the mamak-style effects - just add wedged roasted potatoes, leftover (if any) or cooked chicken and cut tomatoes.
p.s. pkt = packet :)

Rain rain go away ...
Lately it has been raining and some places are flooded - even on the double-carriage highways!
Wet season can be cool but at the same time it can be a nuisance like sending a welcome invitation to the buzzzzzing pesky mosquitoes to breed and to vampire-ing on human blood and sucking through the juicy veins. LOL.
Well, here is a tip shared by some kiasu ladies - the mosquito control technique! - that they got from a gardening forum.
Do not know how far this is true but there is no harm in trying it out. Instead of using the various brand of the poisonous agents like Ridsect or Baygon or Shelltox, this simple home tip does actually works.
Put some water in a white dinner plate and add a couple drops of Lemon Fresh Joy or any dishwashing liquid. Put the dish on your porch, patio, picnic table, park bench or other outdoor area.
Not sure what attracts the mosquitoes - the lemon smell, the white plate colour or what! But mosquitoes flock to it and drop dead shortly after drinking the dishwashing liquid mixture. It usually drops within 10 feet away from the plate. Maybe the mosquitoes thought it's a drinking party for them :)
Try it! It may seem trivial but it may also help to control mosquitoes around your home especially in areas where puddles of water can be seen. Do share this tip with anyone who likes sitting out in the evening or when they are having a cook out.
CQ will experiment on it soon ..but where? Mosquitoes hardly fly as high as three storeys high flat hehehe - CQ will sing the kiddy song 'rain, rain go away..' :)

A cup of tips
Lesson 1
A junior manager, a senior manager and their boss are on their way to a meeting. On their way through a park, they come across a wonder lamp. They rub the lamp and a ghost appears.
The ghost says: Normally, one is granted three wishes but as you are three, I will allow one wish each.
So the eager senior manager shouted: "I want the first wish. I want to be in the Bahamas, on a fast boat and have no worries." Pfufffff...and he was gone.
Now the junior manager could not keep quiet and shouted: "I want to be in Florida with beautiful girls, plenty of food and cocktails." Pfufffff...and he was also gone.
The boss calmly said: "I want these two idiots back in the office after lunch at 12.35pm."
Moral: "Always allow the Boss to speak first"
Lesson 2
Standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand,"Listen," said the CEO, "this is a very sensitive and important document and my secretary has left. Can you make this thing work?"
"Certainly," said the young executive. He turned the machine on, inserted the paper and pressed the start button.
"Excellent, excellent!" said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the shredder machine. "I just need one copy."
Moral: "NEVER, never assume that your Boss knows everything"
Lesson 3
The organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was in charge. Each organ took a turn to speak up:
Brain: I should be in charge because I run all body functions.
Blood: I should be in charge because I circulate oxygen for the brain.
Stomach: I should be in charge because I process food to the brain.
Legs: I should be in charge because I take the brain where it wants to go.
Eyes: I should be in charge because I let the brain see where it's going.
A**hole: I should be in charge because I get rid of your waste.
All the other parts laughed so hard and this made the a**hole very mad. To prove his point, the a**hole immediately slammed tightly closed and stayed that way for 6 days, refusing to rid the body of any waste whatsoever.
Day 1 - Brain got a terrible headache and cried out for relief
Day 2 - Stomach got bloated and began to ache terribly
Day 3 - Legs got cramps and became unstable
Day 4 - Eyes became watery and vision became blurred
Day 5 - Blood became toxic and poisoned the body
Day 6 - The other organs agreed to let the a**hole be in charge.
MORAL: "No matter who you are, OR how important you think you are, you will find that it is always the a**hole that is in charge"

Is 10 cents worth keeping?
What would you do if you see a 10 cent coin on the road? Would you pick it up or ignore it? Some would say 'finder's keepers', 'not mine', or may be embarrassed if seen picking up the 10 cent coin..as if you don't have money anymore or being greedy kiasu...or even seen like a beggar.
Well, for a fact, a 10 cent coin is still a legal tender. This 10 cent coin may some day help you out in times of emergency. Emergency? How can that be?
For those who don't like to carry coins, take this scenario as an example: you are at a shopping mall, suddenly you need to make a phone call and your handphone went dead. You turned desperado when you have no coins in your purse...all notes and credit cards only! Ahaaa...suddenly, while searching for other alternatives ...you saw a 10 cent coin on the ground. You are shy to pick up but yet the temptation from the 10 cent coin's looks is talking to you as if asking you to pick it up! You need me! Yeahhh surely you will put aside your pride and in a quicky dash pick up the coin to make a phone call on the public phone. Hmmmm now now now...still have kah the coin public phone? I thought all now use phone cards baah?? Well, I am sure there are still a few ones left...aren't there?
Anyway, if you don't use it for phone calls, you can still save every 10 cents coins that you have at the end of your day or shopping trips - in your cute or techno piggy bank. There's a Malay saying 'sikit-sikit, lama-lama jadi bukit' - literally translated, it means 'bit by bit, soon it will be a lot' hehehee...
Imagine this, if you save an average of three 10 cent coins each day - that will be 30 cents, by the end of the month you will have $9.00 worth of 10 cent coins...err I hope my Maths is correct..lols...in a year will be about $108.00. Can go Miri already hahaha...This amount is just an addition to whatever amount you have put aside for savings and this amount will some day come handy for you too...like when you are broke towards end of the month. That $9.00 or $108.00 will help you to buy petrol, nasi katok or cup of coffee...or you can even help out any family or friends that need some extra cash :)
If you don't use it, then keep saving that 10 cent coins and you may end up being richer by hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Recently, I gave this tip to a blogger and I am glad she appreciated it :) ..if you save more than 30 cents a day, you will definitely end up saving a large amount of $$$. You can even teach young children to save this way...let them learn the hard way. It will give them a sense of responsibilty and they will learn not to take for granted by being spoilbrats in getting easy money for their pocket money...
And if you are already rich as a result of saving 10 cent coins, don't forget to belanja (treat) me OK! lols :D
